About Sheffield Culture Collective

Sheffield Culture Collective is the name of Sheffield’s Cultural Compact.

This name reflects the collective passion, expertise, insight, and leadership that is offered by its Board members who are drawn from local government, culture and creative industries, the voluntary sector, higher education and, uniquely to Sheffield’s Compact, the private sector.

Since its formation in 2019, Sheffield Culture Collective has worked together to develop a strategy that places culture at the heart of a strong, vibrant, and inclusive city and as a key component in city centre development, the visitor economy, the Local Industrial Strategy, and the Strategic Economic Plan for the city region – including Covid-19 recovery strategies.

We have strategy, passion and desire. We are ready to make a difference.

'The Sheffield Culture Collective was one of the earlier compacts. Their work to date has been really effective with the introduction of exciting projects that have been brought to life, also securing Levelling Up Fund monies.  The Collective has made real progress with its cultural strategy that has been adopted by the city, and the crucial support of the business community, particularly the SPA, has been exemplary. It feels like Sheffield has stepped up a gear to drive culture and we look forward to seeing future results.'
